DETAILS REGARDING THE PURCHASE OF ACCESS FEES
Mont-Comi Park and the non-profit organization “Les Sentiers du Mont-Comi” are two separate entities that work together.
The Sentiers du Mont-Comi team focuses on trail construction and repair and offers self-guided Enduro-style biking, accessible 7 days a week.
With the purchase of an annual pass for Sentiers du Mont-Comi, you can use all the downhill trails and our uphill trail, all week long, whenever you want. Daily rates are also available. Profits from sales go directly to the non-profit organization and enable the development and maintenance of our network.

For its part, Parc du Mont-Comi provides ski lift and patrol services on Saturdays and Sundays, and allows the use of its mountain rescue equipment. It is solely responsible for chairlift operations, as well as the sale of season passes and daily tickets that grant access. Profits from these sales go to Mont-Comi Park and help cover the expenses, maintenance costs, and labor required to operate the lift during the summer and fall.
We hope this information will be useful in better understanding how we operate.
Have a great summer on your bike! We look forward to seeing you!

Mountain Biking
The way we ride today shapes tomorrow’s trail access. Do your part to preserve and enhance the image of our sport by observing the IMBA’s Trail Code of Conduct.
These rules are recognized worldwide as the standard code of conduct for mountain bikers.
Ride only on open trails.
Respect trail and road closures. Ask for information if you are unsure. Avoid riding on private property; obtain the required permits or authorizations. Some provincial and federal parks are closed to cyclists. How you ride influences trail access decisions and policies.
Leave No Trace
Be sensitive to your surroundings. Recognize different types of soil and trail construction. Minimize your impact. Wet or gnarled trails are more vulnerable to damage. When the trail is soft, consider other options. This also means staying on existing trails and avoiding creating new ones. Don’t cut through hairpin bends.
Control your bike
A moment of inattention can cause serious accidents. Obey posted speed limits and don’t exceed your ability.
Always yield the right-of-way
Warn other trail users that you are coming. A simple hello or a bell works well and is well received; don’t startle others. Show respect by slowing down or stopping when passing other trail users. Anticipate the presence of others around curves or blind spots. Yielding means slowing down, establishing communication, being ready to stop if necessary, and proceeding safely.
Never scare animals
All animals will be startled by an unannounced approach, sudden movement, or noise. This can be dangerous for you, others, and the animal. Give animals space and let them adjust to your presence. Be very careful when passing horses and follow the rider’s instructions (ask if you are unsure). Scaring livestock is a serious offense. Leave gates as you found them, or as otherwise indicated.
Plan your rides in advance
Know your equipment, your skills, and your riding area, and prepare accordingly. Be self-sufficient at all times, keep your equipment in good condition, and carry the necessary clothing to change into in case of bad weather. A well-prepared ride will be a pleasure for you and not a burden to others. Wear an approved helmet and the required safety equipment at all times.
Never ride alone.
When you leave in a group, return as a group. We often ride on technical trails where accidents can cause serious injuries. Always ride in a group and never leave a group member alone.
Code of Ethics for Mountain Biking
1. Helmets are mandatory.
2. Access to bike trails is strictly reserved for day or season pass holders.
3. Remain courteous and diplomatic, be lenient, and be careful. Yield the right-of-way to less experienced users as needed.
4. Yield the right-of-way to horses and pedestrians at all times.
5. Use trails appropriate to your skill level.
6. If you believe a cyclist in your group is behaving dangerously, it is your duty to inform them.
7. If you dismount, move completely off the trail. 8. Each member must ensure, for their own safety and that of others, that their bike is in good condition.
9. Be sure to obey the posted signs.
10. If you suspect danger, slow down.
11. Assist a cyclist in difficulty.
12. The minimum age for trail access is 5 years old.
13. Coaster brakes are prohibited. Your child’s bike must be equipped with handbrakes.
Note: For all outings, bring your health insurance card.
